Teknoprene® is a registered trademark of the Teknofluor Group, denoting a family of rubbers designed using technical elastomers and developed to meet the requirements of peristaltic applications (and others) in the industrial, chemical, process and dosing sectors.
Thanks to the unique properties of the materials used and strict production controls, Teknoprene® rubber hoses guarantee stability, reliability and durability even under the most demanding operating conditions.
The range comprises four main elastomers to cover a very wide range of applications, from water treatment to chemical processing, from food & beverage to peristaltic pumps:
Teknoprene®TPV, Teknoprene®SIL, Teknoprene®HCR and Teknoprene®FKM

Vulcanised thermoplastic rubber. The most versatile model in the range, with the same characteristics as Santoprene.
Resistant to acids, alkalis, atmospheric agents and oily liquids, it is the ideal solution for industrial applications, water treatment and plant engineering. Excellent resistance, good elasticity and long service life. Also available in an FDA-approved version for the food industry.
Key properties:
- Temperature range: -40°C / +120°C
- Excellent elasticity under compression; retains its properties even under repeated compression.
- Good chemical resistance
- Typical hardness: 64 ShA or 55 ShA - Natural beige colour - FDA approved
Teknoprene® SIL is designed for the dispensing of sensitive fluids, for food-grade applications and for processes requiring high transparency and heat resistance.
Key properties:
- Temperature range: -40°C / +180°C
- Very high flexibility and thermal stability
- FDA food-grade approval
- Typical hardness: 60 ShA - Transparent colour
Teknoprene® HCRAn ideal solution for applications involving aggressive chemicals.
It offers high resistance to highly concentrated acids and alkalis, hydrocarbons and aggressive agents, whilst maintaining excellent flexibility. An ideal alternative to Teknoprene® FKM but with the typical characteristics of Teknoprene® SIL and Teknoprene® TPV.
Key properties:
- Temperature range: -60°C / +180°C
- Very high chemical resistance
- Excellent flexibility, even at low temperatures
- Typical hardness: 50 ShA - Standard colour: red
Teknoprene® FKMTeknoprene® FKM (fluorinated rubber) is the best choice when resistance to solvents, hydrocarbons and aggressive chemicals is required. Ideal for applications involving extremely high temperatures
Key properties:
- Temperature range: -25°C / +260°C
- Resistance to strong solvents and fuels
- Excellent thermal and mechanical stability
- Typical hardness: 60 ShA or 80 ShA - Standard colour: black
Teknoprene® hoses are designed to deliver high performance in all operating conditions. They offer excellent chemical resistance, making them suitable for contact with acids, alkalis and other aggressive substances, whilst maintaining remarkable dimensional stability even after prolonged use. Their elasticity allows them to absorb stresses and deformations without losing their integrity, whilst the material’s structure ensures good resistance to wear, fatigue and continuous mechanical cycles.

As mentioned earlier, Teknoprene® rubber hoses are designed for use with peristaltic pumps. Depending on the elastomer chosen, our rubber hoses cover a wide temperature range and can be used in a wide variety of applications; furthermore, the silicone and TPV versions are suitable for food-grade applications thanks to their high purity. Production with laser-controlled tolerances ensures consistent precision throughout the extrusion process.
All this means that the Teknoprene® range is recognised as one of the most versatile and technically advanced solutions available on the market today, finding application in numerous sectors:
Industry and plant engineering: fluid transfer and dosing, process systems, industrial machinery, chemical and electroplating sectors.
Water treatment: water treatment plants, disinfection, dosing of chlorine and flocculants in swimming pools and spas, dosing of additives, acids and bases
Food industry: dosing in vending machines, food liquids in the food & beverage industry
Chemicals and laboratories: sampling, laboratory analysis, dosing of aggressive solutions
Peristaltic pumps: our Teknoprene® hoses are designed for peristaltic applications. Visit the dedicated category, where the technical content is much more detailed!
For non-peristaltic applications, Teknoprene® hoses remain reliable and consistent over time thanks to their structure, which makes them particularly wear-resistant, ensuring good wall stability even under repeated pressure or stress. Their service life is long due to the material’s robustness and its ability to maintain its mechanical properties over the long term.
Another key strength is chemical compatibility with a wide variety of industrial fluids, a feature that allows the Teknoprene® range to be used in a wide variety of industrial sectors. The materials are also resistant to weathering, UV rays and ozone, an essential quality for exposed installations or outdoor applications. Added to this is the possibility of creating customised solutions, adapting dimensions, hardness and colours to the requirements of the installation or process.

We supply tubing in various configurations, such as coils or cut to length, to meet every production requirement. Furthermore, we can produce coloured rubber tubing, thanks to the ease with which TPV and silicone can be coloured. Standard sizes are available here, and we hold a large stock of tubing for rapid delivery. We can also produce hoses in special dimensions to customer specifications and clean the inside of hose coils.
Choosing Espango means partnering with a company that is part of a group specialising in the production of technical elastomers and which, above all, is one of the few European manufacturers capable of producing rubber peristaltic hoses with such specific characteristics.
